Get your PC ready for Windows Vista
You've seen it, read about it, and may have tried parts of it, but now the finished Windows Vista is available, it's time to get the perfect system for whichever edition you choose.
While any PC that meets the base specification can run the four editions, it make sense to opt for a system suited to your needs.
In truth Windows Vista will operate on many machines running Windows XP. If your graphics card is a bit old, you won't see all of the new Windows Vista fancy effects, but it will still function 100%.
When Windows Vista was first announced, people worried that computers would need lots of RAM, new graphics cards and so on, but pratical tests with the finished software has shown there to be very few hardware issues.
I bet you you would not want to give up all the 'newfangled' Windows XP enhancements and return to Windows 3.1. In the same way, once you've used the many new features of Windows Vista, you'll wonder why you ever hesitated moving in the first place!
